I've been wearing minimalist shoes (mostly vivobarefoot, xero) for about 6 years ... was so stoked to see a pair of Basketball/Court Sport shoes. I wear these to the gym for workouts and then go play basketball -- I've also tried for squash. After three months of regular wear here are the hits(positives) and misses(areas for improvement).
Hits: Sizing and comfort out of the box are fantastic. I'm a size 11 mens and these were true to size. I think the soles are the right amount of cushion. I got the Bubba Gump red and the look is tight. All around happy with the purchase.
Misses: Laces are way too long, I'm going to replace the original laces with shorter ones. Not good for narrow feet ... when I tighten my laces all the way the fabric closes completely across the tongue. That's fine, because my feet are wider, but if my feet were narrower I'd tighten the laces all the way and still not have the shoes as tight as desired. When I tighten the laces all the way, the right side of the fabric and left side of the fabric touch, meaning I've tightened as much as possible (and can no longer see the tongue). In most shoes, when I tighten my laces to snug, I could still tighten further. Not with these.
These minor details could use some work (maybe there will be a 3.0??) but overall, a great shoe.
